Tranquil Growth Yoga & Breathwork offers Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Trapeze, Hatha/Vinyasa and Yin Yoga instruction and Breathwork Coaching. All of these practices offer amazing benefits to our minds, bodies and spirits. Practices are based in pranayama (breath techniques), asanas (postures) and meditation, based upon the needs and wants of each student.

Tranquil Growth Yoga & Breathwork is also recognized as a Trauma Aware Facilitator. When a trauma informed approach is facilitated, awareness of the nervous system allows the body to heal itself.

Hatha yoga is about balancing the body and mind. ‘Ha’ represents the sun (masculine energy), and ‘tha’ the moon (feminine energy). The practice of Hatha yoga aims to join, yoke, or balance these two energies through physical postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation (dhyana). The physical postures are slower paced, including static holds.

Vinyasa is a style of mat-based yoga using one-breath-per-movement flow. Focus is on balance, strength, flexibility and breath (pranayama) to increase students’ awareness of their bodies and bring them into the present moment to get the most out of their practice.

Yin yoga is a slow and gentle style of yoga with an emphasis on the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons and deep fascia) of the body. Poses are held between 2-5 minutes on average with a focus on stillness. These poses are either sitting or lying down in a passive manner, letting gravity play a role in developing a deeper stretch and allowing one to hold poses for a longer length of time. Stillness of the mind and breath awareness are also key elements of this practice.

Yoga Trapeze is an inversion style of yoga that is a fantastic upper-body workout, varies in intensity and is very therapeutic. For those that may suffer with low-back pain, this could be the practice for you.

Classes

A variety of 60-minute classes that are tailored to each client’s individual needs. Classes can be either in-person or virtual, and cater to a broad range of experience levels.

Mandi is a certified Yoga instructor, E-RYT 500 and RYS, with an emphasis on Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga instruction, as well as, Breathwork Coaching.
